Stimulating greater private sector investment in infrastructure development in lower income countries of South and South East Asia.

InfraCo Asia’s mandate is to develop  sustainable, socially responsible and commercially viable infrastructure projects that contribute to economic growth and social development in lower income countries in South and South East Asia. By taking an equity stake in such projects, InfraCo Asia provides the necessary expertise and funding for early stage, high-risk development activities, with the aim of attracting private sector investment to these projects to achieve financial close.

InfraCo Asia is a company of the multi-donor Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) and is currently funded by three of its members -  the UK Department for International Development (UKAid), the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
